Boreas brings autumn storms and winter gales, and the biting wind carrying sleet, hail, and snow. Son of the Winter Maiden Marena, his duty is to deliver his mother’s killing cold to the world. It’s a job he takes seriously.
Boreas aims to cover all of Midgard with eternal winter, and prophecies foretell that he’ll one day succeed.
Beneath the lands of Nordheim is the fallen dwarven temple known as the Midnight Temple from which the corrupted followers of Boreas called upon their god who used his ice pick and shattered the land, opening rifts to Qes-Al-Marit.
The ghouls and vampires chose this temple for its remote location and its connection between two worlds – one of which is as twisted as their souls.
The vampires and ghouls are apprehensive of their alliance. It worked well for them but now the ghouls are getting greedy and the vampires worry there is a rift within the hierarchy of the ghouls.
Its greatest city is Sa-Mozan, the City of Silences, the home of Alquam. Its walls are made of black glass ten feet thick, carved with hideous protective wards, resembling glass shards or spikes that project from the walls, which cut everything they touch. These walls are often bathed in the blood of creatures executed there, enemies of its people.
